It is of course very unpleasant if your lease vehicle is declared a total loss. The consequences of a total loss depend on who caused the damage: you or the counterparty.
The damage is your own fault
If the total loss of your vehicle is your own fault, you will only pay the deductible listed in your lease agreement.
The damage was caused by the counterparty
If the total loss of your vehicle is not your own fault, all damages can be recovered from the counterparty and you will not have to pay a deductible.
Termination of lease agreement
In the event of a total loss, your lease agreement will be terminated per the date of the accident that caused the damage.
