How does it work?

  • Can I make use of business lease as an independent contractor?

    We are there for everyone, including independent contractors. Just like any other business lease car driver, you will have to meet certain conditions.

    For example, you must have a COC registration and we are required to examine your annual figures (generally speaking, one full fiscal year). If these are sufficient and you meet all other requirements, there is nothing stopping you from driving a beautiful business lease vehicle.

    If you only just started your own business, feel free to contact us. Together, we can assess your options. For example, it may be enough to submit your figures for half a fiscal year instead of a whole year. We are happy to work with you to find a solution!

  • Will I receive a registration certificate?

    Yes, you will! As soon as we have the vehicle details, we ensure that the RDW (Dutch Vehicle Authority) issues and sends out the registration certificate. The card is normally sent to your company’s fleet manager. However, it can also be sent directly to your home address, provided that this address is known to us.

    If your company is based outside the Netherlands, the card will always be sent to your home address, as the RDW does not ship registration certificates abroad.

  • Can I lease a used car?

    Yes, absolutely! We offer a wide selection of used lease cars. These are young vehicles with low mileage. Curious to see what’s currently available? You can view them here!   • What is the minimum or maximum number of seats I can choose?

    Whether you’re driving solo or with a large family, we’ve got you covered. You can lease a vehicle with seating options ranging from 2 to 9 seats.

  • Are there any types of businesses you don’t lease to?

    Yes. Since we only offer Full Operational Lease, we’re unable to lease cars to taxi companies, courier services or driving schools.

  • Can I lease a more expensive car than my lease budget allows?

    As far as we're concerned, that’s possible. But there are a few things you’ll need to discuss with your employer.

    Your employer is responsible for the early termination fee if the contract ends early. And there may also be consequences for your addition to income (bijtelling).

    So, it’s important to make clear agreements with your employer and get advice about the tax implications for your situation.

    All lease prices at DirectLease are based on a closed calculation.

    However, our fleet owner module gives you insight into key contract components, such as fuel costs, mileage deviations and damage frequency.

  • Does DirectLease offer a short lease option?

    Absolutely! Short lease is the ideal solution if you need a car for a shorter period. No long-term commitments, no high rental costs, but with all the convenience of full operational lease. Our short lease cars and vans are available from just 1 month, up to a maximum of 12 months — and they’re ready to go right away!

    Looking for a longer lease, but don’t want to be tied down?
    Then our monthly cancellable lease is perfect for you!

    With this option, you lease a car for a minimum of 12 up to 60 months — your choice. You get all the benefits of Full Operational Lease, plus a big advantage: you can return the car free of charge after 12 months.

    Occasion Lease
    With Occasion Lease from DirectLease, you can drive a nearly new car for a sharp price and a short lease term. Another big plus: you can hit the road immediately!
