  • When does the contract end?

    We base the contract on the agreed lease term.

    If you don’t reach the maximum allowed kilometres (annual mileage × contract years), the full term stays in place.
    If you do reach the maximum, the contract ends early.

    For diesel, petrol, LPG, hybrid and electric cars, we apply a maximum of 180,000 km.

  • Can I get a proof of no-claims (damage-free years) statement?

    Is your lease contract ending, or are you planning to buy a car or motorbike during your lease? You can request a lease statement from us.

    This document shows your damage-free years, so your (new) insurer can take them into account when calculating your bonus/malus.

    How to request your lease statement
    Send an email to schade@directlease.nl with the following details:

    • Full name of the driver

    • Private address of the driver

    • Licence plate number(s)

    We’ll make sure you receive your statement as quickly as possible.

  • I’ve returned my lease car. What happens next?

    Have you said goodbye to your lease car and handed it back? Then it will be inspected by autoinspectie.nl, an independent company that specialises in lease car returns and inspections. Based on their findings, an inspection report will be created. This report includes any noted damage and relevant comments.

    If any damage is found during the return that wasn’t reported beforehand, the costs may be charged to you. The same applies to missing items that are part of the lease agreement.

    Enter the licence plate and the reference code of the car you want to view.

    Tip: You’ll find the reference code on the final invoice.

  • How do I return my lease car?

    Is your lease contract almost ending, or have you reached the maximum number of kilometres? Then it’s time to return your car.

    All you need to do is de-register the car online. We’ll take care of picking it up.

    What should I keep in mind?

    • Fill in the entire return form.
      Getting a new DirectLease car? Only complete the form once you know the delivery date.

    • Submit the form at least 5 working days before your desired pick-up date.

    • Don’t forget to gather all important documents and accessories. You’ll need to hand these over when the car is collected.

  • What should I keep in mind when returning my lease car?

    Is your lease period coming to an end? You can easily schedule a return appointment online. When handing over the car, it is important to return everything that belongs to the lease vehicle, including:

    • The key and spare key (and remote control, if applicable)

    • The registration certificate

    • The Certificate of Conformity (only for new vehicles delivered after 1 September 2020)

    • Navigation software (all CDs) and the alarm certificate if applicable

    • The maintenance and instruction manuals

    • The complete tool kit, such as jack, spare wheel and tools

    • All accessories listed in the lease contract

    We also kindly ask you to:

    • Remove all personal belongings from the vehicle

    • Clear the navigation history

    • Delete phone call history

    • Unpair all connected devices

    • Cut up the fuel or charging card. Note: if you temporarily drive a replacement vehicle, you may still use this card
