Am I allowed to add stickers to my leasecar?
Would you like to display your company name on your lease car with custom stickers? That is allowed. You can choose to include the cost of the stickers in your lease rate. The advantage of this is that the stickers will be insured in case of any damage to the vehicle. Alternatively, you may arrange and pay for the stickers yourself — the choice is yours.
Please note that at the end of the lease contract, the car must be returned without any stickers. Any damage resulting from removing the stickers will be charged to you.

What happens if the employer can no longer pay the monthly lease costs?
It’s unfortunate when an employer, also referred to as the contract holder, is no longer able to pay the monthly lease fee. In such cases, DirectLease will discuss the company’s financial outlook with the contract holder. If it becomes clear that the business continuity is minimal or absent, the business lease agreement will be terminated.
The costs for early termination of the contract will be charged to the contract holder. The buyout amount is calculated using the DirectLease buyout matrix.

Can I have a tow bar installed?
Yes, absolutely! You’ve got two options:
1. Add it to your lease
You can include the cost of a tow bar in your lease price. Just check the accessory list for your car brand to find the price. Then add that amount to the “accessories” section in the car configurator.2. Arrange it yourself
You can also buy and install a tow bar yourself. Just note: it must be removed at the end of the lease contract. All costs for purchase, installation and removal are at your own expense.Any damage caused during installation or removal will also be charged to you.

What documentation will I need when travelling abroad?
Are you planning to take a trip in your lease vehicle within or outside Europe? The insurance certificate (green card) lists the countries you can travel to and where the car is insured.
To avoid potential problems while you are away on holiday with your lease vehicle, be sure to check the engine oil, coolant and tyre pressure before you leave and make sure the car has undergone periodical maintenance.
Read the ANWB Travel Guide for more tips: ANWB Travel Guide
We also advise you to bring the following three documents:
- Registration certificate
- Insurance certificate (green card). You can download the most recent version here: Insurance certificate / green card (directlease.nl). Check whether you are required to carry a printed version as well using this link: https://www.cobx.org/highcharts-maps
- European Accident Statement
If the car is not registered in your name (see registration certificate), you will also need a foreign declaration (business lease) to visit the following countries.
Albania, Algeria, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia (former Yugoslav Republic), Morocco, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Tunisia, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Northern Ireland and Belarus.
This declaration states that you, as the driver of the lease vehicle, are authorised to drive the car.
Are you travelling to Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Ukraine or Algeria? Here are the extra steps you have to take:
If you are travelling to one of the aforementioned countries, having a foreign declaration is not enough. As a driver in these countries, you need a legalised authorisation. We can arrange this for you.
Send an email to info@directlease.nl with your name, your vehicle's licence plate number and the country you want to travel to. We will then send you the required documentation via UPS through exportdocumenten.nl.
Tip: be sure to apply for a foreign declaration on time, at least three weeks before departure. Also leave enough time to have your declaration legalised, if necessary.
Drawing up the authorisation costs around €35. This amount will be billed to your employer.
