The lease agreement

  • What is included in the monthly fee from Fietslease?

    The lease agreement includes the following components: devaluation and interest, standard maintenance, repair, tyre replacement, hull insurance, passenger accident insurance, legal aid insurance and 24/7 breakdown service.

  • Is it possible to terminate the lease agreement prematurely?

    After the first year, the lease agreement can be terminated with a two-month notice period. If the bicycle is returned prematurely, we will charge a fee equal to 40% of the remaining lease payments.

  • What happens to the bicycle at the end of the lease agreement?

    At the end of the lease agreement, you can purchase the lease bicycle for a price equal to 15% of its catalogue value. If you decide not to use this option, the bicycle will be picked up.

  • My employee is leaving the company, what will happen to their lease agreement?

    When an employee leaves your organisation, there are three options:

      • you inform us (DirectLease) that another employee will be using the lease bicycle;
      • you inform us that your employee can bring their bicycle with them to their new employer;
      • you inform us that you wish to terminate the lease agreement.

    If you choose the latter option, DirectLease will charge you as the employer a fee for the premature termination of the lease agreement. These terms are included in the bicycle lease scheme. Additionally, the employee will receive a purchase offer for their lease bicycle from Hellorider, so they can purchase their bicycle if they want.
